Basic Search:
- The "Basic Search" is an "AND" search. This means only products matching ALL the words you enter will be displayed.
- Searches are not case sensitive.
Example: Searching for Skates will find "skates" and "SKATES". - You may enter part of a word.
Examples: Searching for the word stick will find "sticks". Searching for the word shin will find "shinguards" and "Washington". - The search looks for the word(s) in each item's name, description, manufacturer name, and category name.
- To exclude a word from the search put a "-" (minus sign) in front of it.
Example: Entering bauer skate -SR will pull up all Bauer skates EXCEPT the senior skates (just youth and junior will show).
Advanced Search:
Use this to be more specific in your search. Advanced Search has all the functionality of the Basic Search plus:
- Use the "any word match" to perform "OR" searches. This allows you to find items that may not contain all of the words you enter.
- Find an item using an exact phrase.
- Specify minimum and maximum dollar amounts. A great way to keep within your budget.
- Locate by item options such as color, size, team, hand, width, etc. Looking for D 12 skates? Just enter "D 12" into the "Color/Size" area of the advanced search and only items with that option will be listed.
- Use any combination of these to focus in on just the products you want!
- When entering sizes, particularly single digits, specify ".0" or ".5" on the end to get better results. Entering 7, for example, will match literally any product option that contains a 7, not just sizes.
