We understand that this imposes a significant burden on you and have tried to make things as easy as possible within the manufacturers' limitations by implementing round-the-clock pricing and ordering support.

Sometimes the information is about exciting new products that have arrived in our stores. Sometimes it is an effort to expose our customers to opportunities that may have gone unnoticed in the vast landscape of products and prices. To receive these valuable coupons and information related to hockey, make sure your account settings are properly marked to allow receipt of email from totalhockey.net. Also check your spam filters to insure totalhockey.net is a permitted sender.
Coupons
Frequently totalhockey.net will send coupons to those who choose to participate giving recipients certain special incentives on particular items, categories, or orders. If you receive one of these coupons and you have no interest, just trash the email and await your next savings opportunity. If you want to use a coupon you have seen or been sent via email, the process is simple: 1) Go through the order process just as you would have without the coupon. 2) When you get to checkout, click on the button that says "I have a coupon". 3) A box will appear requesting that you fill in the coupon number. It will be an 18 character code consisting of letters and numbers. In this box you may type or cut and paste the coupon code. Make sure it is entered precisely (though dashes do not matter). 4) Assuming it is a valid coupon, you will then see the general coupon description on your checkout page and the resulting impact on your order. totalhockey.net has developed a system for giving you feedback on how our customers rate the hockey equipment we sell. We have gathered a significant amount of reaction to our hockey equipment from customers (both in stores and through the web site) and want to be sure we share it with you. The Customer Ratings you see are a compilation of ratings from customers. In most cases, these Customer Ratings are based on dozens, even hundreds, of customer product evaluations. We don't sugar coat it and we do not post a rating until at least five customers have provided input. Please keep in mind that we cannot and do not control how a customer rates a product, e.g., a customer may take into account that one skate is twice the price of another and thus have higher expectations.
If you want to provide your feedback on particular items, just give us your opinion in an email to productrating@totalhockey.net. Tell us how many stars you would give it and why, where five stars represents the best possible opinion about a product and one star represents the worst possible opinion about a product. We ask that you will take into account the product's performance, purpose, and price. Focus on the product. Remember, this is not intended to be a rating of totalhockey.net's services, though we are happy to hear from you about that also. |

totalhockey.net aims to get you exactly the merchandise you want and need. Instead of forcing you to wend your way through a site that looks like a flea market, we give you easy ways to find just the right products.
There are two forms of the search process. The BASIC SEARCH is available from the home page. The idea is to sort through all the merchandise we carry by classification, manufacturer, item name, or item description. It works like this:
We use an "AND" search algorithm. This means only products matching ALL the words you enter will be displayed. Searches are not case sensitive.
Example: Searching for Skates will find "skates" and "SKATES". You may enter part of a word.
Examples: Searching for the word stick will find "sticks". Searching for the word shin will find "shinguards" and "Washington". The search looks for the word(s) in each item's name, description, manufacturer name, and category name.
Don't be afraid to start at a very general level. The results from the basic search will be displayed in list of products that could include 50 or 150 items. However, at the top of those search results you will have access to a grey box that allows you to narrow these search results in any way you see fit. You can pick a single manufacturer or category. You can sequence them by price (either direction). You can show more than 10 items per page. Practically any way you want to further manage your search, you can.
The ADVANCED SEARCH is designed to give you much more sophistication in your search process. It works like this:
Click on "Advanced Search" just under the search box on the front page. You will go a special advanced search page. There you simply fill in the criteria that are important to you.
Example: Suppose you want to find all junior skates under $100. Just fill in the words junior skate in the box "Contains ALL these words" and $100 in the box "Less than", then click "GO". You will see all the junior skates we have under $100.
You can use the same kind of approach for size searches, color searches, pattern searches (e.g., Sakic), etc. You can narrow your search to the "Clearance" section or to "sale" items.
Example: Suppose you want to find all sale inline pants that have blue in them except Black Biscuit. Just fill in the words inline pants in the box "Contains ALL these words", fill in the words black biscuit in the box "Must not contain these words", fill in the word blue in the size/color box, check the "search only sale items", and then click "GO". You will see all the sale inline pants containing blue except Black Biscuit.
Make sure when you start another advanced search you reset the parameters. To exit the advanced search simply click on "Basic Search" and you will return to the home page. |

| Checking Order Status |

We give you all the tools you need to manage your hockey purchases.
You can always check your order status on-line by going to My Account and clicking on View Order.
In addition, you will receive a series of emails after your oder has been placed. The first email will indicate that your order has been received. This assures you that we are aware you have placed an order and that the order is in the processing queue. The second email will indicate that your order has been processed. This tells you that we have matched up merchandise with your order or, in the unusual case that there is going to be a delay because we are awaiting merchandise from the manufacturer, that the merchandise is backordered and when we anticipate availability to ship. Finally, you will receive a third e-mail confirming that your order has been shipped. This e-mail will contain a link that will take you directly to the carrier's website for the purpose of tracking your shipment.
More significantly, you can see your entire order history in our "My Account" section. Need a new copy of a receipt you misplaced so you can return a warrantied stick? No problem--you can print one from your account history. Can't remember what stick or skate size you bought for your cousin last year? No problem--that will be in the "My Account" section. |

| When Merchandise is Sent |

Generally speaking, totalhockey.net has merchandise on our site that is stocked in our stores.
However, it is always possible that the pattern, color or size of merchandise you select is not available at a given time. We will let you know the status of the order in the email confirmations if it falls into this category.
Most orders will be shipped complete within 24 hours, frequently on the same business day the order was placed. Don't forget, though, that carriers do not ordinarily pick up or deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
You will note that certain items indicate they will be shipped in time frames longer than 48 hours.
We have done that where inventory in an item is uncertain enough that totalhockey.net cannot be confident of filling orders within 48 hours or where we have agreements with manufacturers to stock this item.
Most important, we will let you know exactly what is going on via email.
Unlike many other equipment retailers who are incapable of keeping you informed about the status of your order, totalhockey.net relies on a sophisticated system of email correspondence to keep you continually updated.
We will tell you when the order is processed, when it is shipped, let you track your order, revisit your order, and so on.
Closeout Status
Depending on the time of year, many items could be designated "Closeouts". It is important you understand what this means. It always means that we are eliminating an item from our lineup--we don't try to cover up our intentions. It almost always means that a manufacturer has eliminated this item from their lineup. The implication of the second is that the item will difficult or impossible to (re)order, even if we want. We use the word "Closeout" to give you fair warning of potential stock problems. We cannot insure availability. With a non-closeout item, we know a potential out of stock situation is temporary and we can ultimately fill your order. With "Closeouts" we cannot. "Closeouts" ultimately come down to very small quantities, and no inventory system, no matter how robust, is up to the task of managing these small, quickly changing inventories. |

| Shipping and Handling |

When you place your order at totalhockey.net we will give you exact shipping and handling charges based on the method of delivery you select. We don't estimate. We don't average. We don't round up. Shipping rates for equipment are based on weight and size specific to your order.
These charges reflect the cost to us of getting your equipment to you.
Shipping and delivery time estimates appear in the site. You will receive a shipping tracking number in your confirmations. Please note that this tracking number will not be functional until the package is picked up or delivered to the carrier, usually in the evening during which your order was shipped.
You will also be able to check the status of your orders by logging in and going to the My Account area of the totalhockey.net site.
Shipping costs for orders from totalhockey.net depend upon the method you choose for delivery.
We will always try to group items for shipping. However, if we have to break up a shipment because of unexpected or unreasonable delays in the availability of certain components of the order, we won’t charge you any additional shipping costs — it’s on us. The total amount of shipping charges for the entire shipment will be charged on the first shipment and the balance will be sent with no additional shipping charge.
Free Shipping
We are offering FREE SHIPPING on orders whose base total exceeds $99.
This will automatically be calculated when you complete your order on totalhockey.net.
Please keep in mind that this only applies to normal ground delivery within the continental, domestic US and only to merchandise that does not exceed certain size and weight limitations. Orders that exceed the carrier's size or weight limitations will have the carrier's surcharges related to the excess size or weight passed through to the customer. In addition, a $3.95 handling charge will still be applied to every order placed.
totalhockey.net reserves the right to alter or withdraw this offer at any time for any reason.
Items Requiring Special Handling
Carriers frequently charge a surcharge for over sized or extremely heavy equipment. Such additional costs will be reflected in the shipping costs total you see when you place your order.

A Note about Delivery Estimates
You have different delivery options you may select.
Please note that the times stated in the delivery description (e.g., “Next Day Air”) only describe the time the carrier indicates it will take to get to you once the carrier has picked up the order. “Next Day Air” does not necessarily mean you will get your equipment the day after you place your order. totalhockey.net reserves the right to change the shipping method if such a change will mean the delivery of the merchandise will take place at or before the time delivery would have occurred under the option you chose. For example, if normal ground delivery would get your merchandise to you in two days and you ordered "Three Day Select" we reserve the right to employ normal ground shipping.
You must be sure to allow appropriate time for processing and handling of your order. Keep in mind that shipments leave our location for the carrier at approximately 4:00PM Central Time.
totalhockey.net makes every effort to pack and ship as quickly as possible. Remember that there is no weekend carrier origination and only Next Day Air shipments allow for the option of Saturday delivery. Saturday deliveries should be arranged via phone.

Please note: you will receive totalhockey.net's shipping confirmation email with the carrier tracking number before the number is operational. Your shipper tracking number will not work until the order has been picked up and logged into the carrier's computer system.

If you are not completely satisfied with what you receive, return it to us.
You'll need to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#).
Please send an e-mail to rma@totalhockey.net.
Include:
- your order number (found at the top of your receipt in My Account, in the e-mail confirmations, or on the packing slip enclosed with your order),
- which item(s) you wish to return,
- a brief explanation of why you are returning it (i.e., damaged on receipt, doesn't fit needs, etc.).
Once we've verified the order information we'll e-mail you an RMA# and instructions on returning the merchandise.
Things to keep in mind are:
The merchandise must be unused and in its original, undamaged packaging. Do not use the original manufacturer's packaging, i.e. skate box, as the sole return shipping box. Any package returned with shipping labels attached to it will be denied.
totalhockey.net will process even exchanges in the same way as original orders—if the replacement merchandise is available it will be shipped within 48 hours via the same shipping mode as the original order.
All merchandise for return or exchange must be received by totalhockey.net within 30 days from the original shipping date indicated on the confirmation e-mail.
If an item is defective upon receipt, you may return it for full credit or replacement. In the event the item is not defective as determined upon proper inspection by totalhockey.net, neither your costs to return the item or the outbound shipping and handling charges will be refunded. In no event will totalhockey.net credit you for your cost of returning the merchandise an amount greater than totalhockey.net's cost to ship the merchandise to you.
If an item appears to be defective after use, upon verification of the stated defect by totalhockey.net we will repair or replace the item as appropriate following a thorough inspection.
Any shortage of merchandise upon receipt compared to that stated on the enclosed packing slip should be immediately noted and properly documented in writing (letter or e-mail) to totalhockey.net.
In general shipping and handling charges will not be refunded (or will be charged back, in the case of free shipping) on return or exchange of items that are not: defective, damaged in shipping, or sent due to incorrect fulfillment at totalhockey.net.
Custom ordered merchandise is NOT returnable/exchangeable under any circumstance.
Any returned merchandise that is altered from it's original state will not be accepted for return. For example, sharpened ice skates, worn gloves, taped sticks, and the like are strictly prohibited from being returned. |

You may have noticed how many sellers of equipment “guarantee the lowest prices on the web”.
Did you ever ask yourself how everyone can guarantee the lowest prices?
The answer is, they can’t — this is just a ruse to try to get a "last bid" in to buy your business. These “guarantees” are at best marketing fluff and at worst outright deceptions. Some make this claim because they have old equipment on hand they are desperate to get rid of. Some do it because they don’t have much equipment on hand so they can’t fill orders anyway. Some just do it because they think they can talk you into buying something you don't really want. Some have so many conditions and qualifications that the guarantee is meaningless. We will stack our prices up against any other company in this business. We'd just rather show it than shout it.
We admit we occasionally make mistakes. With the thousands of items, colors, and sizes that we have to manage, it is impossible to be perfect all the time. We reserve the right to refuse to fill an order if, as a result of a system or human error, our descriptions, images, or prices are wrong. Remember: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you see something on the site that doesn't make sense, send us an email or give us a call. We will explain it or, if it is wrong, correct it.
Be aware that prices may move up or down to reflect changes in demand or changes in supply, changes in costs, or changes in the competitive environment.
It is possible that the price on an item when you order it will be different the next time you visit the site.
If you order something from us and subsequently see a different price on our site, be assured we will fill your order at the lower of the price that was shown in the site when you placed your order or the price at the time of processing your order.
Once your order has been processed, subsequent price changes (up or down) will not impact your order.
Coupons
Several manufacturers' pricing policies require that we not sell certain
items below a "Minimum Advertised Price" (MAP). They force us to exclude some
coupon offers claiming that a generic, non-product specific, coupon is a
violation of the their pricing policy. We will continue to provide the highest
quality products at the most competitive price, while we comply with

Some manufacturer policies, like Nike Bauer, CCM, Reebok and Easton, do not allow us to ship outside of the US. Otherwise, we can ship practically anywhere you want. The catch is: shipments to destination outside the US or Canada take a little more work. If you want us to ship to destinations outside the US or Canada, just call us at 636-486-4783 and we will set everything up for you. To simplify matters, in advance of calling, send us an e-mail at info@totalhockey.net indicating the following information: 1)name, 2)billing address, 3)shipping address, 4)telephone number, 5)items(including sizes,colors,etc.), and 6)any questions. This will help expedite the order process.

Some countries (including Canada) charge their residents taxes, duties, or fees when merchandise is delivered. We normally send emails in HTML format (which is the standard Web format) so that we can present information in a pleasing and easy to read manner.
However, some email programs either do not support HTML or allow you to turn it off.
If you cannot or prefer not to receive HTML formatted emails go to My Account and click Edit My Info.
At the bottom of the page you'll see "Other Options".
Change the email format to "Text Format" and you will receive emails without any special formatting.
